Reflection on reflections

Hi all,

After reading a heap of these reflective essays tonight (just before the comments are due...) I realise most people have mostly positive things to say about all the sites. This lead me to wonder: Will anyone continue using these sites?

Personally, I use Facebook every day, and will continue to. I also scrobble all my songs to Last.fm, and have for years now. I may peer in on Twitter once in a while, but other than that I will be dropping the rest of them.

What does everyone else think? Anyone fallen in love with these sites?

These sites are interesting, but not necessary for me.

Hi!

I'll definately continue to use some of the sites..

As "human-networking" is a very important part of communication in the modern days, one can never be able to stop using the sites unless he/she wants to be isolated.. ;)

I already have many sites that I normally use.

However, it's always good to try new things out.

I will keep them in mind and use them in the future when needed...

I find I use different sites at different times for different purposes. When I remember to relaunch the scrobbler I also continue to add to my listening on last.fm, having been in there right from the start. Facebook occasionally works for me, mainly because I have family and friends in many different countries and email is just too much of a work tool to be useful in that context. I've found LinkedIn to be particularly useful for professional networking on a few occasions, and when I have time I know I will return to regular posting and discussion of photos on flickr.

Twitter continues to intrigue me, and while it supports the balance between local group communication/coordination, 'light touch' contact with family and friends, and--when I have time to sample the overwhelming flow of content from all who I follow--occasional random flashes of brilliance from around the web, then I'll continue to use it.
